PostSubject: My Drinking Horn+Stand   Fri Jul 17, 2009 12:33 am

So, as you know, a couple months ago, I went to see Amon Amarth. With me, I brought a few friends, and a 1.5L drinking horn that I made.I had plans on getting it signed, then either etch/stain or burn the signatures in. Unfortunately, one of my friends had to get home, and since I drove, and we were out of the state, I couldn't hang around outside for an hour or two with the hopes of catching them. Sad

So, that was that....Until a week ago, when I found this deer skull at an antique store. It had a piece of wood hot glued to the bottom, and stray hot glue just about everywhere else, but I still knew it would make a perfect stand for my horn. So I spent the last several days stripping the glue/wood, cleaning it, ect. I had some balance issues when the horn was resting, but several musket balls that I made a while back, and some Mighty Putty in the back of the nostril fixed that.

So, what now? Pour some wine coolers in...Maybe get a little paper umbrella? HELL NO! Any time now, I'll have me some homemade mead and grog for the drinking.
