PostSubject: Are you a musician???   Thu Jul 02, 2009 7:04 am

So... the question is... are you a musician??? And if yes, are you in a band, which instrument are you playing what is your influence and your style??

I'm a guitarist... I'm playing in a little band (a Garage Band...) named Haunted Path. I have a BC Rich Egale DLX guitar and a Line-6 Spider III 30 amp. My biggest influence are James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Dave Mustaine, Chris Broedrick, Marty Friedman, Sam Totman and some others... Im playing more Thrash and Heavy Metal but... My favourite style still Power Metal.

... And you???

im a pianist but i have also learned how to play the keyboards and modern piano. I've been learning this instrument for 6 years but i think i will die without joining any band. However ive been asked for an audience by a prog-power metal band this October and i may join a friend's band on August (both of them aren't fully developed so dunno if it's gonna work). Anyway right now i have a Clavinova Yamaha CLP 120 and im going to (finally) buy a keyboards instrument this month Very Happy. My biggest influence is Janne Warman by COB although i also respect Bob Katsionis, Jens Johansson and Jordan Rudess. I play everything by ear (from mainstreep-pop shit to Dragonforce and Metallica) so i dont have a particular genre that i like. Maybe i'll try playing jazz next year in order to improve my speed. Well thats it (i think ive overdone it as always now that i look at it Razz )

I am a basist, my current instrument is ESP F-154DX.

I play in a garage band formed with a couple of friends and my gf. It has not been necessary to get a name yet cause it is definitely not serious... We change the styles we play often cause we don't want to stay in only one style.

My biggest influence is Marco Hietala.

I play the drums in a band called Innuendo.

We're playing the Liverpool O2 Academy on the 23rd October if you wanna come down watch us.

My biggest influences include Neil Peart, Lars Ulrich, Nicko McBrain, Joey Jordison, Keith Moon and John Bonham.

They dropped down, one by one'

It's actually one of the nicer Ibanez's out there. Not just because it's played by Herman Li.
It's based off an Ibanez S series, making the body very light, but it's fitted with a Prestige neck, making the neck very light as well, seriously that guitar is light as hell.
Nice DiMarzio pups, and with the volume pop alteration switch you can choose between 10 different pickup/humbucker combinations.
The middle pickup is also lowered so you can pick easier.

This is the mechanic.

Hands down my second favorite guitar next to my JEM.

I'm a drummer in a band called Fireblade.... I was anounced on their site last night so check it out at www.myspace.com/fireblade777.

I beat up pearl drums and Zildjian custom cymbals, with pearl, Bigdog and Gibralter hardware. I use a pearl double bass pedal but I'm searching for another bass drum for my kit, which is hard to find as they don't make the kit anymore....so might have to get one custom done at some time.

My influences include Nicko McBrain, Alex Van Halen, Cozy Powell and many more. My first influence that mostly got me wanting to start the drum many years ago was Roger Taylor from Queen, he uses a very simple but effective style showing how you don't have to play any fancy crap all the time like a lot of drummers do.
